List of Datasets is a static website designed to collect as little visitor information as practical. It has no user accounts, login system, comments, advertising trackers, or on-site submission form, and it does not set tracking cookies.

Website delivery and analytics

The hosting, content-delivery, and security provider may process standard technical request data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, request time, requested URL, referrer, browser information, and security events.

The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance information. Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or localStorage for analytics, fingerprint visitors, or track individuals across customer websites. Browser storage

The comparison tool uses your browser’s localStorage to remember selected dataset IDs and whether you last used explorer or comparison mode. This preference data stays in your browser and is not intentionally sent by List of Datasets to a server or analytics service. You can remove it by clearing this site’s stored browser data.

External services

Suggestions and corrections are handled on GitHub. Information posted in a public GitHub issue may be publicly visible and is processed under GitHub’s Privacy Statement. Do not post confidential information or unnecessary personal information.

Dataset pages also link to third-party websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices.

List of Datasets does not sell visitor information or use it for targeted advertising. This notice may be updated if the site or its providers change.
